Healthy Oat and Banana Balls
There is nothing like needing a mid afternoon snack as a pick me up, but trying to keep it healthy can be tricky.
I naturally jumped on Pinterest (danielleswa5123, give me a follow)
and came across this recipe, so I thought I would give it a try.
1 Cup of Oats
2 Ripe bananas
1 Table spoon of peanut butter
Half a bag of Chocolate chips
To start of I cut the banana into chunks and mashed with a fork until it was semi smooth but not like a smoothie you want to keep the texture.
Next I added 1 Cup of oats and mixed well.
Are you liking the simplicity? Because I did hehe.
After that add half a bag of chocolate chips, now these can be milk, white or dark chocolate depending on preference.
I then added 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, this adds a nice sweetness to it.
One last time mix well until all of the ingredients are all combined.
Last but not least using 2 teaspoons mould the mixture into little balls, pop onto grease proof paper and place it in the oven for 10 minutes at 200C, until golden brown.
Ta dah, healthy snack!
